The Conversion will involve various ground and first floor areas within Thorncliffe Hall for Chapeltown Academy.
This historic building dates back to the dawn of the industrial Revolution in the 1790’s where it was utilised as the Headquarters for Newton, Chambers and Company when they began extracting coal and ironstone from Thorncliffe Valley.
Since then it has undergone a number of changes and will shortly be part of a new site for Chapeltown Academy Sixth Form College. A beautiful, majestic and iconic building which will house 17 classrooms, three laboratories and extensive common room in addition to the other facilities you would expect a sixth form college to contain.
Working with the principle contractor – R. H. Fullwood & Co. Ltd., we will be responsible for undertaking the alterations
to existing mechanical services, inclusive of heating, domestic water, ventilation and drainage works.

We are currently carrying out works within Floor B of Firth Court, on the refurbishment and remodelling of areas to form a new research facility to be used as a light microscopy research facility. We are responsible for providing the newly refurbished areas with fully automatic cooling and ventilation, as well as providing other specialised mechanical services.
On June 16th we start works within the impressive Firth Hall.
We will be carrying out works within the hall and the associated turret plant room areas as we undertake the replacement of the existing ventilation system serving Firth Hall.
Firth Court is a Grade II listed building.
Its age and historical importance means that its renovation needs highly specialised and professional workmanship in order to preserve the buildings character and enhance its functional use in today’s environment.

The scheme, which is scheduled to commence later this month involves the full internal refurbishment and remodelling of the building across its 6 floors.
Our works include the supply and installation of the following services –
* Domestic water services pipework systems.
* Boiler plant.
* LTHW heating service pipework system.
* Ventilation services, including new air handling units.
* Air conditioning / DX heat pump, heating & cooling system.
* Building energy management system.
* Thermal insulation.

Phase 1 – Refurbishment of Theatre Admissions Unit.
The first Phase of the facelift carried out has resulted in the complete transformation of the old Theatre Admissions Unit, resulting in a thoroughly modern space which gives a comfortable, bright and airy waiting area to aid patient’s relaxation as they prepare for surgery.
The works are part of a larger project which will see a new Day Surgery Unit open later this year. Works on Phase 2 have now started which, as part of the refurbishment, will also include an increase in the number of Assessment Rooms available.

The Repair, Conversion and Extension of the Old Endowed Schoolroom, School Lane, Grenoside, Sheffield, S35 8QU
Originally built in circa 1789/90 as the second Endowed School in Grenoside it is one of only four locally listed buildings/structures in the South Yorkshire village of Grenoside. With a Grade II listing it carries significant historic importance to the local community.
Now, under the trusteeship of residents of Grenoside and with local fund raising and the assistance of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the building is being fully restored. It will be brought back to life as a Heritage and Community Space for the Residents of Grenoside and the surrounding Area.
